Places for Time Out

For most of us our homes are our sanctuary. Being able to retreat to a place where the rigors of the day can be set aside, just for a minute, I believe is one of the key elements of what makes a house a home. How is this accomplished? Here are three ways: LARGER BEDROOMS The bedroom is of course a private sanctuary in itself and in most cases for your children it is like their own apartment. If your dreamhome is going to accommodate your children into their early adult hood,  think about how this room can transition from a simple place of sleep to a place of independence. Making a bedroom larger today will go a long way to making this transition an easy one. UTILITY ROOMS Utility rooms or Multipurpose rooms are spaces that can quickly be used for activities such as hobbies, gymnasium or guest rooms. Giving these type of room the benefit of fantastic views will go along way to making them a place of meditation. Especially if these rooms are for your favourite hobby. WINDOWS Windows, in particularly bay windows with a great view, offer the opportunity to create bench seating for activities such as reading your favorite magazine or latest book. When deciding how your dreamhome will provide spaces for sanctuary and recluse, think about how your family interacts with each other and independently. You will find the answers there.
